new Mercedes-benz C 63 AMG Saloon
With the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, the C 63 AMG Saloon boasts a powerful 6,208cc AMG V8 engine, and the resulting peak output of 457hp (336 kW) and 600Nm torque propels the vehicle from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds.
For a comfortable yet enjoyable drive, the revving function 'blips' the throttle when downshifting, to facilitate rapid and smooth gear changing.
AMG Sports Suspension features a newly developed front axle with a 35mm wider track - visible by the more widely flared wheel arches - ensuring both outstanding driving enjoyment and exemplary handling dynamics.
A three-stage ESP® system has also been specifically configured for the C 63 AMG, enabling the driver to choose between three modes - ESP® ON, ESP® SPORT and ESP® OFF.
Mercedes-benz C 63 AMG Saloon Exterior
The C 63 AMG Saloon builds on the dramatic styling of the C-Class Sport, sharing its radiator grille with central star, but adding the AMG trademark two chromed louvres. The distinctive front end, with 25mm flared wings, is further dominated by dark-tinted headlamps and bonnet with two striking power domes. The athletic AMG front apron is accentuated by side air vents and chrome-set round fog lamps.
The AMG diffusor-look rear apron features three pronounced diffusor fins, LED tail lights, plus the AMG sports exhaust system with two sets of chromed twin tailpipes, and an AMG spoiler lip to reduce lift and ensure greater handling stability at high speeds. Furthermore, the side profile of the C 63 AMG Saloon demonstrates a view of the 6.3 AMG lettering on the side of the front wings, the AMG side skirts, and the
18-inch, 5-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels* in a high-gloss Titanium Grey finish.
* Front: 8.0J x 18 (235/40 tyres). Rear: 9.0J x 18 (255/35 tyres).
Mercedes-benz C 63 AMG Saloon Interior
The racing theme continues in the interior with special designed AMG sports seats. The seat design features horizontal fluting, integral head restraints embossed with AMG lettering, and an adaptive backrest with side bolsters and lumbar support - adjustable via an integrated control switch.
The motor sport inspired steering wheel is just 365mm in diameter. The three-spoke design benefits from embossed leather with perforated side grips and a flattened underside. Aluminium AMG shift paddles complete the look, along with a dynamic black roof lining and brushed stainless steel sports pedals.
The tailored, tubular AMG instrument cluster conveys exhilaration. Eye-catching details include AMG lettering in the speedometer, red needles and the 6.3 V8 logo in the rev counter. An AMG main menu features three sub-menus:
- Warm Up displays the engine oil and coolant temperature
- Set Up shows the current ESP® mode and drive programme
- Race measures racetrack lap times, with Racetimer
This interior package features a black designo leather trim for the top section of the dashboard – complemented by black stitching, the beltline section of the doors and the centre-console armrest.
